Chris Stevenson
Executive Director
Chris Stevenson is the president of the National Museum of American Religion. Earlier in his career, he founded The Community Levee Association and America’s Quilt of Faith, civil society-buttressing organizations that champion the indispensability of virtue and religion, respectively, to the American experiment in self-government. Chris has a Bachelor of Science in applied physics, a Master of Arts in teaching physics, and a Master of Science in agricultural engineering.

Ian Wendt
Associate Executive Director
Ian C. Wendt is the owner of Collegiate Courses and the producer of a video series on communities and society called Being Humans Together. He taught and researched the history of South Asia, the Muslim world, and world religions for ten years at multiple colleges and universities. He produced national and international educational assessments for the College Board and the Educational Testing Service for eight years. For the last three years, he has travelled full-time with his family, connecting with extended family, friends, and their communities across the United States of America. They seek out community builders, leaders, and service groups who are bringing people together. Ian has a PhD in History from the University of Wisconsin—Madison.

Colleen Prior
Director of Content
Colleen Prior is the manager of content, research, and accessibility for the National Geographic Society's museum in Washington, D.C. She is a museum professional with a focus on content research/development and accessibility for visitors with disabilities. She is deeply passionate about equitable access to learning, and believes that knowledge can be both interesting and approachable to all audiences. Colleen also moonlights variably as a theater nerd, dance teacher, horror movie fanatic, dog walker, and long-distance hiker. Colleen has a PhD in Religion and Culture from The Catholic University of America.

Dammon Burden
Director of Technology
Dammon Burden is IT administrator of business systems at ID.me. He is a service-oriented multidisciplinary technologist, combining breadth of learning with technical execution skills. Two formative years of missionary service in Brazil nurtured a service-first mindset and fluency in Portuguese. He enjoys genealogical research, which has sharpened an instinct for preserving narratives across generations.
